physical therapy one core balance

We’ll do everything possible to exceed your expectations.

Dr. Barbara Eby

In 1991 Dr. Eby began her practice at an outpatient traumatic brain injury center. While there she found it especially rewarding to work with clients who had mild head injuries, post-concussion syndrome, headaches, neck pain, migraines, and dizziness. Dr. Eby found that these types of issues significantly affected the patient’s ability to participate in normal daily activities but often the symptoms were not outwardly noticeable.

Since moving to Kalamazoo in 1997, Dr. Eby has been a trusted provider of vestibular rehabilitation, the treatment for dizziness and balance disorders, post-concussion syndrome, acute and chronic pain and migraine management in the Kalamazoo and Portage area. In addition, she cares for clients with more traditional orthopedic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, foot, neck & back problems, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Dr. Eby is passionate about her calling and specializes in helping clients unravel the underlying issues. She values establishing relationships with her clients and empowering them through education to take a more active role in the healing process. Dr. Eby uses a holistic approach realizing it is not just one system that needs to be addressed but the whole person to get to the root of the problem. Each client she meets adds a new perspective and strengthens her practice of physical therapy.

The 2001 APTA physical therapy slogan describes her practice philosophy beautifully, “The science of healing and the art of caring.”

Barb is the most fantastic physical therapist ever! She is incredibly smart, compassionate, helpful, and just generally awesome!!! I have seen Barb for over a year for vestibular therapy and she is so amazing at even some of the most complex cases. Thanks for saving the day again today, Barb!!!!! As always, you rock!!!!

Barb has helped me with my neck surgery recovery.  I didn’t think I would move my neck again and she made sure I had full range of motion.  Then when I had shoulder surgery I specifically requested Barb because I knew she would make sure I was whole again!
